Electrical Test Operator - Night Shift

Summary
Put your electrical testing skills to work across a varied range of hardware. Broaden your manufacturing experience with a permanent night shift role offering a salary of £43,537 plus shift allowance. You will join a manufacturing team carrying out electrical hardware testing and supporting product certification across development and production. Working alongside operators, engineering and quality colleagues, you will help deliver completed hardware to agreed standards. The range of hardware and collaboration with engineering and quality teams will give you scope to broaden your practical manufacturing knowledge.

Where you will be based
Bolton-based. This is a full-time night shift position requiring attendance on site five days per week.

Your role

• Testing completed hardware against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and product quality.
• Completing manufacturing documentation accurately and keeping records up to date.
• Supporting delivery against production schedules, cost targets and quality requirements.
• Working with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical challenges and suggest improvements.
• Maintaining a safe, organised workplace in line with 5S housekeeping practices.

Your experience

• Reading and interpreting assembly drawings and planning instructions.
• Confident use of manufacturing equipment, tools and measuring instruments.
• A methodical approach to testing, accuracy and documentation.
• Taking initiative to resolve problems and complete work to a high standard.
• Adapting to changing production priorities and working effectively with colleagues.
• Practical electrical testing skills and the confidence to work without close supervision.

Essential requirements

• Completed Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Apprenticeship at Advanced Level or Level 3 Standard.
• Level 3 academic qualification in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing, such as an Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) or diploma.
• Level 3 vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing, such as a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).

Salary and rewards
A base salary between £40,000 and £45,000 is on offer, plus shift allowance. Added benefits include:
