Senior Project Manager – Pre-Tender Phase
Industry: Defence
Location: Home based (Must be in south of England - travel as required)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (contract inside IR35 would be considered if candidate has experience in all the desired experience below)

This role seeks a Senior Project Manager to play a key part in the pre-tender and competition phases of significant defence programmes. You’ll guide projects through the post-concept stage, driving progress and ensuring all necessary steps are taken to prepare for successful approval and delivery.
The Challenge
You’ll coordinate and manage technical and project teams, ensuring the timely development of essential artefacts and templates. With a strong understanding of defence approval processes, you’ll help navigate the project through its most critical phases.
From scheduling and advising teams to ensuring compliance with best practices, your role will be pivotal in aligning cross-functional efforts and delivering results.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking candidates with:
- Project management experience in the defence sector.
- Familiarity with JSP507, Defence Gateway processes, and Knowledge in Defence (KiD) (or a willingness to quickly develop this expertise).
- Strong coordination and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
- SC Clearance
- Maximum of 4 weeks notice period
